Commissions:
Commission Status: OPEN
1) To inquire about a commission from me, e-mail me at megami_no_anime@hotmail.com
2) Send me a reference image and the name of the costume you want and tell me when you need it by and I will tell you if I can in fact make it or not (some things are beyond my ability right now I will admit)
3) If I can make the costume, I will then give you a price quote. If we agree on the price then I will ask for about half the final price to start with so that I may purchase the materials. This money is not refundable as it will be used immediately.
4) Once the costume is completed, I will show you photos of the finished garment and if you are satisfied with how it looks, I will then ask for the rest of the money before I ship it off to you. I won't ship it before I have the money. In case something goes wrong when I'm making the costume or I feel its not up to par with what I intended, I may ask for less money than originally asked. Believe me, I'm honest about my work. If you are unsatisfied once you get the costume or it does not fit right, I can offer a partial refund depending on what the issue is. But I trust you to be honest too.
Price:
Price of the costume depends on several things:
- How difficult/complex the costume is to make.
- The cost of materials to make the costume.
- The hours it will take me to make it.
- How much "proper" work I do on the costume. ie: lining, top-stitching vs slip-stitching with bias tape, elastic waistband vs zipper fly)
- How much it costs to ship it out.
Typically my costumes start at around $80-100 and go up from there. Unless it is for only part of a costume and in which case it may be a lot less.
I try to make my costumes as professional-looking as I can. I finish all the edges, iron my seams flat, and usually line everything unless it's a piece or costume that shouldn't be lined (such as a t-shirt or pants). I can also offer a lower price if you don't care about lining, proper stitches, zipper fly, etc depending on what the costume is and the various ways it can be put together. I will usually ask which you prefer if you don't state it yourself.
